First Pool Party of the Year

We walked to the library yesterday to pick up some books, and Kade's favorite thing there is the computer (just like his dad). He loves the Green Eggs and Ham story game they have on it. You can tell from the concentrated look on his face that that he gets totally wrapped up in the story.




Today was the first offical pool party of the year. It was about 24/25 above, but boy, it felt hotter somehow. They both looked so cute in their floppy sunhats I had to take a picture before we even left the house. This one made me laugh "teehee, don't tell mom!'

And the pool party fun ensues.
Kade was so excited to get into a pool, that he left his shoes on.

And our wonderful hostess had ice cream cones for the kids, which,of course, was beyond a hit with Kade. He sat nice in his chair until he looked in the pool and saw one of his buddies snacking away AND sitting in the pool.....

Then it became the cool (literally) thing to do, sit in the pool and have ice cream. I must admit that all the adults were jealous ! And here's the primping princess Ivy. " What, this old thang? Why, I've had it for-evah" Seriously, what a poser!


And second to the coolness of the pool party was the ride on tractor.
