I'm Too Tired To Think of A Witty Title

What a busy week. Monday was the splash park, Tuesday we went to the Bonnie Doon park and were unfortunately kicked out by a thunderstorm, Wednesday we had all the trades come to the house to fix the things that we've noticed over the last year. One year already, it feels like we just moved in, I can't believe how fast time is going. Today we went again to the splash park, and the library tonight. We are all really tired from this week, I can tell with Kade, he's napping really long naps and still goes to bed early, so we must be doing something right LOL.

I've taken a lot of pics the last couple days, Kade's been playing with Ivy a lot, look what happens when you turn off the tv! We usually go down on our satellite package for the summer, but its completely off now, I am on a tv strike. We watched too much while at home potty training. Its been off for almost 2 weeks and I have noticed a difference in Kade. He doesn't need to be entertained, he's sitting and playing with his sister, re-discovering his toys....if I didn't need MY shows in the fall it would stay off hahaha! As it is I am going thru Days of Our Lives withdrawl....

Kade helping Ivy with her tummy time. Boy she hates it, look at her face, she doesn't know whether to smile or screech. Kade tries to talk to her and distract her but it never works.
Ivy and her favorite toy.
I went in to get Kade from his 3 hour nap the other day and found him like this, I had to snort.I think there was a total of 3 blankies and the two pillows and neither under his head.
Bike riding today with Riley, our neighbor's girl. They usually play a little in the evenings now. She's 6 and a really nice girl. Kade can sure motor on his trike now, trying to emulate her. Its so freaking cute watching them going.

Some cute brother and sister pics...

Kade is addicted to online gaming. (gee , like father like son??) He loves the Sesame Street games, we've progressed from the alphabet elmo to shapes, colors, art, so many neat things to do.
Indiana Jones, eat your heart out! These two cuteies will give you a run for your money! We just kept looking for the twin hats and we knew where Tyson and Kade were at the splashpark today.
And random pics from today....

Tomorrow we are off to Calgary for the weekend, we are going to Phantom of the Opera for our anniversary and Nana and Papa get the kids for a few hours.

Boy, oh boy, you have such cuties!! We didn't get cable for the summer either, but I have to admit, I am looking forward to the fall programs! Tyson knows how to turn on the tv and dvds, so I have to unplug the tv during the day so he doesn't turn it on!

Haha that's cute that he turns on the dvd and tv!

Good, I am not the only one who turns the cable/satellite off during the summer, I was beginning to feel weird and the only one :)

i love the pics of kade and ivy - so sweet :)

we've been without cable for a year and a half now and it's honestly one of the best things we've done for our family. sean will still download the few shows that we are attached to and we will watch them at our leisure, but we all watch a whole lot less television now and spend a lot more time reading and interacting with eachother.
