The Last Week and Our Saturday Project

We've had a busy and fun week, too busy to post at all! Nana came to visit and watch the kids for Karlynn since she had two dr's appointments, and inbetween those, we went to the mall and took Nana on the rides, went to Ikea, had Egger's for breakfast...so much fun! What is really weird is that Nana remembers taking Karlynn,Karami and Wyatt on those rides, and now she is taking her grandson...hmm time flies!

Potty training is going well, he spent the week traveling/napping in the car without a single accident. He also entertained his friends Kaeli and Regan with his underwear escapades on Thursday too, he didn't want any pants on. I guess they make the underwear too cool to cover up. Good thing they already know we aren't normal.....

Friday we went on a daytrip to Wizard Lake, a very good daytrip place but it won't be that great for camping, we didn't like the campground but the beach was great, and the water warm. Here's a few pics from then...

Everen and Kade sharing strawberries....
Mike relaxing and recuperating from his dislocated toe. He dropped a 20 lb box on it while not wearing his steeltoes and was off till Monday. That'll learn 'em.

Princess Ivy...Absolutely exhausted after the beach.

Today we were on our way to go grocery shopping and stopped in at Walmart. And you know as soon as you read those words that money was spent LOL! We were really really really happy to find that everything we had wanted for the flowerbeds in the yard was on clearance. So we loaded up with trellis's (trelli? Trelliseses?), the white fence that we wanted but was silly expensive regular price, white paint and some peat Moss. There's nothing better than finding what you want at half price. Oh, and we never did get to the grocery store ! Karlynn spent the day completeing the flowerbeds.

So here's Kade helping paint a trellis....
Playing in the box that the fence came in.... Fence for the flowerbed in front of the deck...
The finished flowerbeds along the fence. My little Clematis plants are all planted in and ready to start climbing. We're getting closer to sod....each little step brings us closer....can't wait! Helping water the front flowerbed...

Here's Ivy trying to catch the cats tail...if you look closely in the upper left there you can see the cats tail taunting her...Luna is smart enough to stay just out of range...but Ivy's getting better at reaching!
