So here's some from Thursday at Fort Edmonton....
On the train....

The Carousel, which is really neat and Kade LOVED that Auntie went on with him!
And everyone else on the train....I was the only one off taking pictures...

Kade now really likes puppets, or at least now he likes puppeteering. We haven't tried showing him puppets since he hated them, but now he loves to show Ivy. Hmmm. Folkmanis puppets are calling my name....

And as for camping, its hard to even begin. First, let me tell you, when the host joking tells you that she's putting you near her "squatters" (no no, I kid you not, words straight from her mouth) then you should turn around and go back. FAST.
We arrived to our nice little "family" campground to a spot near a work camp, basically. Nice people, except for the smoking, drinking and swearing. Oooh ooh, and the driving golf carts while drunk, I really liked that part. That was my favorite. Watching dude wearing jeans, no shirt and a jean jacket hang off the back of of a golf cart with a beer in hand while Kade watched. I totally forgot to take a picture too, so you could all share in the joy of the moment. If Kandice hadn't watched it too, I wouldn't even claim to have seen it, LOL! No one would believe me.
Oh, and the words that Kade heard. Now, I don't claim that I don't swear, (ha!) but uh, I try not to say the F word in front of my son for Pete's sake.
OOOhh and the domestic dispute was FAN-tastic. Poor little girl (and the rest of the campground) listening to her parents yell obscenities at each other. And then the other stupid men chiming in with their bone-headed comments, agreeing,of course, with the bone-headed dad.
And it rained, and rained and rained. The ground was so squishy that we couldn't set foot out of the trailer. We had even set up the awning off the trailer and it was soaked underneath, too much rain for the ground.
BUT Kade had fun Thursday evening with the little girl Jade (yah, you yelled out "Ade" and some kid came running) and he rode his bike the whole time he could get out, it was a nice flat huge area for him to safely ride his bike.
Here's Kade having some hot soy chocolate, and he was trying to get the mini marshmallow off his upper lip, just couldn't get it...
Lunch in the trailer while it poured....
Snuggles with Auntie during the rare non-rainy moment...
Camping baby in her layers of clothes,.
So Kade had fun, kids are pretty oblivious to the things that go around them, but I sure could have done without him listening to those people yelling at each other, sigh. He loved spending the time with Auntie and was really, really upset when she left with Uncle Dan.
And now we are spending the rest of the weekend at home, recuperating and warming up!

Sounds like a crazy camping trip. Hey if Kade likes puppets try Costco. They have these sets of 4 really good quality complete hand puppets for only $9. I had bought some for my boys when they were young and have bought them for gifts too. They have differenrt themes (cats, birds, bugs, etc) and many teachers buy them. Hopefully they still have them out there. Have a good rest of the weekend..Mary-Anne
Wow,
I don't think I could have described our camping neigbors any better myself (it felt at one point like an episode of trailer park boys) although you left out the gutter rap music, nothing like the unsensored version of eminem played loud enough for all the campground to hear. Oh and I also liked the fact that the little girl was wanderig around at 8 in the morning chowing down on a candy necklace, fortunatly you're cute"granola baby" was way to busy with his healthy bluberries and soy milk to notice her offer to "share".
your camping trip sounds, um, interesting...`
Wow and they didn't charge you extra for the entertainment??
