Too Busy

Busy busy week! Phew. And its not over yet lol! First thing Tuesday we went to Walmart to get our tire fixed, and for once that was a pleasant experience. They took the car right in (I KNOW!! That's unheard of!!) Kade had hotcakes and jam at the McD's there while I caffeined up, Ivy played...we did our shopping and picked up our car, and the tire fixin' was free since its warrantied up to 110,000 Km. Sweet.

Since we were up and out at 7:30, Kade was dressed warmly and he looked so cute and fallish that I had to snap a pic before we left.

Then the rest of yesterday was spent running back and forth from Rona and Home Depot, buying wood, lattice, etc. Then painting them while the kids slept. That's a hell of a lot more work than I expected. I calculated that I have painted 128 sq. feet of trellis with an inch and a half wide brush. FUN! And it was alllll my idea to, no one to blame but moi.

We also did the posts last night, and right now I have time to blog because supper is over and Mike is out getting the fence boards. So tonight we should be able to get a lot of it up, its really not that hard once you get going. And its only a small 4 foot fence. The fun part will be treating it afterwards, no one carries treated wood in 4 foot planks, so we went with untreated wood and will trim it to 4 feet and waste less money. The thought of wasting....hmm...50 + feet of wood cumulatively just made me cringe! At least we can burn the untreated as firewood (Ah look how s-m-r-t we are)

There will be lots o' pics after this weekend, we are having a BBQ (thus all the yardwork) a birthday bash for 3 (possibly 4) of my girlfriends. <------- Karlynn's girlfriends, not mikes.
