We spent Thursday afternoon at West Ed, we checked out the dinosaur adventure place (no clue what its really called) It was a good time, we won't be going back because once you see it, that's pretty much enough. After two hours there, we went on a few rides at Galaxyland, Kade was thrilled that he got to ride on the fire engine.
And Papa is going to be proud...we were walking through the mall and Kade totally walked up to this and told me it was a Ferrari LOL! I was very impressed that he remembered the horse was the Ferrari symbol. But yikes he has expensive tastes that his parents will never, ever fufill!! He sure likes cars, but that's not from Dad, that's definitely Papa's influence! I wasn't so impressed when he reached thru and stuck his hand on it LOL "Kade, we don't touch Ferrari's ! Mommy can't afford even the paint job for one!"
Becky lent us this great game Monkey Mouth, that you build teeth for then pull out or drill or clean. Kade is really, really enjoying it, Discovery Toys sure have some neat (Expensive!) stuff.
Today Brandy and the girls came over in the morning and I think I had the nicest day in forever. The kids played SO well together, they played between the living room and Kade's room and Brandy and I sat and talked and drank caramel correttos (mmmm thanks again b!) ALL DAY! They stayed for lunch and far into the afternoon. I just can't get over how absolutely relaxing it was and how happy Kade was to play alllll day with them. I did absolutely no parenting, they occupied themselves without any problems for hours on end! Ivy played, napped, then played again. The stars must have been in perfect alignment. This weekend...I have no idea. Kade wants to go back to West Ed to go on the scarier rides that I couldn't take him on. He told me "Mama, you and me will go on the pirate ship and leave Ivy with Daddy." I love the way he's concocting things now and problem solving how he can go, since I told him Ivy can't go on the pirate ship.
That;s it for now, everyone have a great weekend!

that pirate ship is scary! i took hallie on it and we sat in the middle and once it got going, i remembered what it was like and i felt bad for bringing hallie on, she was so scared and said, "mommy, my tummy feels like it's hurting!" (butterflies) but once we got going and into it, she was laughing and having fun. now it's her favorite. she also loved the little red roller coaster... not the kiddie one but the next one up!
and ivy's winter jacket isn't last year's, it's this year's "fall" jacket... but it seems to be thick and warm enough to be for winter. (i checked it out too!) but their winter ones are super puffy!
Ok, THAT makes more sense because they were tons. I can't imagine fitting her into a carseat with those huge puffy ones, this one barely fits!
