Gingerbread House Fun!

We has a fantastic time this afternoon, Kade and I had a date and went to our friend Tasha's parents house to make a gingerbread house! Her dad puts on a gingerbread factory every year and so off we went. We had SO much fun, I can't remember the last time I made a gingerbread house. There was SO much candy and plastic toys etc to put on the houses, her dad goes alllll out with the material to make them.

So I handled the icing, and Kade did a great job of putting the candy on. However, it was three for him, maybe one for the house, more for his mouth, maybe mom put on a candy or two, smartie or three for mom's mouth....mmmmmmm. He's eating something in most of the pictures, luckily he ate mainly pretzels but he also had more candy tonight than he has had cumulatively all year lol.

A gingerbread village that was there, one had all sorts of cars AND lightening mcqueen, so guess what Kade loooooved. He spotted that right away.
Kade did Ivy's side all by himself, it was a miracle that any chocolate made it onto the house at all!
The finished project at home...with plastic santa and reindeer on the roof, fake trees with a reindeer browsing in them for the front yard (all Kade) , jellybean cobblestone sidewalk (I am so proud of myself for that one LOL!) and look at that Cars movie decoration, well, Kade was in 7th heaven with that! AND here's a video of why he doesn't eat sugar foods that often.. when you hear the THUMP at the end, that's him totally taking a dive. We're mean parents and laughed so hard, it was so funny!



Thanks again Tasha and I still really think an adult night of this would ROCK!!
