Museum

Yet another trip to the museum, this time with Charlynn, Katie and Alex. We had a great time, Kade was super excited to make new friends and really got along with the girls. The only drawback is we could only stay a couple hours because I worked and we had to get Ivy home for a nap.

So they have a new exhibit up, which was really cool, see below for the title LOL! And it looks like now they AREN'T closing, but only closing a part at a time and leaving the rest open. That would be great for fall, however, I am hoping its not due to a lack of funding, which it just might be....sigh. Take that 80 million you are spending on the art gallery and plug it into the musem thanks. The plans look SO amazing, it will be great if they ever finish it.

So here's a couple pictures from the exhibit, I don't want to ruin it for those who haven't viewed it yet, so only a couple spoilers.

The world's biggest grouse..very cool looking bird.
The two headed calf! EEWWWWWwww! In a fascinating way. I didn't get enough time to look through all the jars or things in formaldehyde, next time I need to persue more.
The little 70's furniture corner where they had some things to sort, and the kids were highly amused by this. All it takes is one little place that they get to touch and play with things, this center was a hit!

Today since its snowing, is a perfect day to stay at home and bake and clean house. Tuesdays seem to be catch-up day after my two shifts, then the one tomorrow night is no big deal. Off to bake cinnamon loaf and cookies!

Don't be sad you weren't able to look too closely at the stuff in jars, most of it is disgusting, big lizards and other shudder stuff. Alive lizards I am okay with.. dead ones crammed into jars not so much.
