And What Adventures We Have....

Oh the title of this blog seems appropriate after the week we've had. Its been a long time since we've been home and the busiest ten days of our lives I do believe. We headed out to Manitoba last Saturday to attend my grandma's funeral in Dauphin, Manitoba. Of course that wasn't a happy time, but it was wonderful to see people we hadn't seen in a long time. Kade and Ivy were fawned over of course, and the visiting was nice. I really wasn't thinking clearly that day, I should have been taking so many more pictures of the kids with relatives that they rarely see.

Hey Karami, like the orb on you? Weird.
And the orb above Wyatt's head.
So halfway there we stopped in Saskatoon, and Kade loved the hotel room, as you can tell from him bouncing on the bed.
We visited the Saskatoon Zoo, which really is a great little zoo. It looks like they just gently carved it out of pure wilderness, and put animal pens in the spaces. Very treed and natural and we had a really nice time there.

Kade seems to think that the only reason we went to Manitoba was to pick mushrooms, which makes us laugh. Two days driving to pick mushroooms. But while we were there, we did go otu to Auntie Janice's Cabin and picked morels, and Kade had SO much fun, he is such an outdoors boy.

Cousin Cody and Kade..

Auntie Janice helping Kade with a mushroom. And yes, in Manitoba, you DO take a rifle to pick mushrooms. Cause bears like them faaar too much as well. Shudder.
