Rundle Park

I had today off, so we decided to go down to Rundle Park and enjoy the fantatic weather. We packed up Kade's bike and helmet, snacks and the Chariot and off we went for the morning. When we got there, the Bell Walk for Kids Help Phone was going on, but unfortuantely it wasn't a big turn out. Next year we will be there for sure. I was really impressed to hear that its a no budget walk, which means that everything is provided by sponsors. I like to hear that the money isn't frittered away on t-shirts, water etc. There wasn't enough time to register, so we dropped off a donation and watched everyone get ready to stretch. Jason Smith, yup, the Oiler, led the stretches.

I was really po'd about missing a pic with him. Mike told me that he was Jason Smith and I DIDN'T realize that it was him. Like Oiler. It just did not connect in my brain. Mike swears he said in loud, clear tones that he was an Oiler, but I must have been ignoring him. As usual. Fernando Pisani was also supposed to be there, I don't know if he showed. I hope not. That would make me really sad.

Rona Ambrose, who has been the environment minister, was there as well. She's a fox. When they were introducing them, they introduced them all at once and we couldn't see anyone other than Rona for a woman. So we thought she was Marie Stelmach and wondered how Ed had scored such a hottie. Newp. Not bashing Marie, but Rona is a looooooker. I had to come home and google them because we couldn't figure out what Honest Ed (ha!) was doing with a fox, and sure enough, he isn't doing anything with her. That we know of.

We walked around and let Kade zoom around on his bike which was so thrilling for him and got in our exercise.

Then while staying out of the walkers way, we hit the playground which is mostly open and WHAT fun it is! They did a great job revamping it, this will be a favorite this summer.

Then they were giving out free cotton candy and Kade was SO excited!
