Planting Time!

Ugh I am so behind on everything, this is LATE for us to start our seedlings. Anyways, Nana and Papa sent gift cards for the kids for Easter, and rather than T-O-Y-S, I asked Kade if he wanted to go and buy the peat pellets than puff up and he and Ivy could pick out seeds. He, being like his mother, needing no coercing whatsoever (thank goodness LOL) and was SO excited! He is so funny, he loves watering the peat pellets, then watching them puff up, then planting the seeds.

He hemmed and hawed in Walmart over whether to get two smaller starter greenhouses, then decided that he and Ivy could share the larger one. So hilarious, because I just sat there and listened to him decide, with no input from mom whatsoever.

The both picked out their seeds, Kade wanted blue, so he found some Jacobs Ladder (no idea what they will do) and Ivy found larkspur (she wanted pink) and I chose some Delphiniums. We got home and I read the Larkspur, and it said to sow it outside because it doesn't transplant well. So we are doing an experiment on 12 pellets, Kade and I pushed the seeds in deeply to see if perhaps they take longer to sprout and reach the air, they might transplant better. And of course, any experiment is right up Kade's alley. We will see which do better, the pellets or the ones we sow May Long.

Not a great pic but makes me laugh because Kade took it all angled.
