Critters Visit The School

Kade's class had the zoo visit with 5 critters today, and Ivy and I were invited as well to join them. We had such a great time, and Ivy loved being in class with Kade.

When they play the classical music after lunch, the kids can either dance or draw, and since Ivy didn't want to dance, Kade drew with her. Then they share their art when done and talk about what they drew and why. Kade insisted that he had to bring Ivy up with him. She was VERY shy, and hung on to him the whole time, but she went no problem.

You can see by her funny scrunched up face, that she was really out of her confort zone.

And Kade was so wonderful, and kind to her, that by the end he had one arm around her, hugging her to make her feel ok. They can be so good to each other sometimes, and he is such a caring big bro when she really needs him to be.
Then on to the animal, first on being the Tortise!
Then the armadillo, which we all just loved.

Le skunk.

Snake!

Ivy was transfixed, the girl commented on how fearless she was, she was following her around watching the snake and couldn't wait to touch it.

And now we are all exhausted and happy and had such a lovely day together. A good end to a great week!
