Our sweetie boy has finished kindergarten and is raring to go next fall for grade one! He learned so much from his wonderful teacher, he's reading like crazy (I have to put MY books away because now he's reading the backs of them and wants to read inside and could understand most of it=can we say completely inappropriate for his age lol!) . He's learned to play some notes on the xylophone, countless songs, and participated in dramatic readings for a (very) small audience. He's sang in front of his class (brave!), has brought home more art than I know what to do with, and has made some very good friends in his class.
We are so glad that he is so incredibly happy at his school, that he's doing more than learning by rote, that their methods of learning and teaching have helped him gain confidence in himself -the singing in front of his class and the dramatic readings-, that by making everything so fun and intertwined with the arts he barely realizes that they are making him learn ;)
We spent the sports day with his teacher-to-be, and I am VERY excited for him next year, and so is he. She is going to be so much fun, she's "that" teacher that the whole school loves, and I am so grateful that for his first year of full days, he gets her as his teacher.
Congrats again to our boy for having a blast at school and making great friends and memories! Love you sweetie!
