The Past Week

Other than of course, still recuperating from being sick, we have finally got back into a normal schedule. Somewhat. As normal as this family ever gets, really. Which means not that normal after all.

We carved our pumpkins....

...Ivy had her very first Halloween party, all her own, all her friends from preschool. And her costume from last year! After the dance, neither kid wanted to wear their new costumes...we will see tonight whether she is a cat, bat or rabbit, who knows what she will feel like.

And Kade had his school party, that Ivy and I joined him at. My poor boy has strep throat though, so he was tired, not really into it and just generally sad.

They did a presentation of their drawings up on their electronic whiteboard in the classroom to go along with a poem for the parents that came, and Kade's drawing of himself in his dragon costume was so adorable!

My poor boy, he tried so hard to play all the games, here he is bowling but he wasn't into it.

A smile for mom, the only one I could get out of him at the party.

The great news is, that with the resilience of youth on his side and almost 24 hours of antibiotics, he is feeling MUCH better and is so excited to go out trick or treating tonight!

More pics to come of that later of course!

Oh my goodness. Streph throat. Oh. I'm happy he is recovering nicely. Great drawing, Kade!
