The Zoo

We went to the zoo today, since I had it off work. That came with a price; I was in at work from 230 am till 630 am covering part of the midnight shift, so a broken nights sleep and a nap this morning was all the rest I had.

But it was worth it to take the kids to the zoo and, well, not really look at any animals.

They played in the snow.


Mike and I laughed about the lack of animals and how we could have just taken the kids to a snowy hill. Luckily the offices were closed and it was a free trip.

I lied, we did get inside and looked at the creepy crawlies and the new night exhibit. Which is too dark! The one in Calgary your eyes adjust to in a few minutes. We stood.....and stood....and waited....and it was still pitch black in there. We could see a few shadows moving, that was it.

And of course, they found a Canadian flag to pose with.
