Happy Canada Day!

Happy Canada Day to everyone! Hope your day was as good as ours was! We had planned on doing work on the yard and tent trailer today, but ended up running away from home. We went to the Railway Museum that is slightly out in the country on our end of town. We've been meaning to go forever . We didn't want to go the usual crazy busy Canada Day places and this was so nice and quiet.

The kitchen on the passenger train. They have one long train that you walk thru and view the different cars. It was really neat.

Sleeping compartments....

Taking a ride on the real train there. It just goes forwards and back, they don't have enough land out there for a full circle unfortunately. Kade sure didn't care tho, the train was moving, the whistle was blowing and the conductor said "All Aboard!" (which thrilled him to pieces to hear it real life)Sitting up in one of the engines.

He loved this crane, there's a Thomas the Tank Engine on just like it, Cranky the Crane. He also has a toy crane that Melissa bought him as well that he plays with constantly. He was thrilled to look at the big hook of a real crane.
Ivy spent the day in the sling since its not stroller friendly at all, climbing in and out of trains!

And Kade icing dougnuts with mom after supper, a special Canada Day treat. I think we'll take these and some ice cream over to Melissa's for supper tomorrow after Mike's done helping with the deck. They ain't half bad for homemade!
