We watched so many dancers, but our favorite were the Polynesian dancers. This group below was a group of new dancers, and the lady in red in the middle was 65 if she was a day. We thought it was fantastic that she took up Hawaiian dancing this year. Something to aspire to.

The Mexican dancers were great and so were the Tamales LOL. Kade loved the Hat Dance, and clapped really enthusiastically after they were done, as did the rest of us. He loved that they put the hat on the ground and danced around it, he thought that was so cool.
The Chinese dragons..always a hit.
This huge dragonfly was perched on the lady in front of me, and I couldn't stop looking at it, instead of the dancers LOL.
Inside the Arabian tent, very cool.
Modelling the new sling, ooohhh aahhh......this picture makes me snicker cause I was checking out a group of young good-lookin' policemen just behind Mike as he was taking this pic.He turned around to see what I was oogling....whoops.... busted hehehe.
Me...
Me....
Me.....can you tell that Mike had the camera today? Look, I DO exist!
Eating Hungarian Langos, yeast raised white bread dough that's deepfried and dipped in icing sugar. You just can't go wrong with that. However, they were bigger than Kade's head.
Princess Ivy..
Here's the one and only pic of Mike at the festival today LOL!
So we ate the Hungarian killer fried bread, (brought most of it home too since it was so huge) Tamales (yum yum), frozen bananas covered with chocolate, curried chickpeas w/ rice, pakora's and curried chicken, (pakora's sucked) Barmbrack (Irish bread, yum), Lefse Dog ( Scandinavian hotdog pretty much) gross, eeewy Shanghai noodles, and my $2.50 Lao mini spring roll that came from Costco and I felt really ripped off LOL! Add in a sno-cone for Kade, mango drinks and smoothies..some things i am sure i am forgetting...ugh..we are stuffed. We watched all the dancers above plus the African, Irish, and Ukranian dancers, listened to the steel drum band...panpipes guy..... love love LOVE this festival. Kade just soaks it all up like a little sponge.
We have bought our sod, spent the last couple hours raking and fixing the soil in the backyard and hopefully tomorrow we are laying it! Finally..

we weren't going to do the fesitval, however you are making me re-think it all. we went about 2 yrs ago.... i think kai was a baby. not last year. how much did ya spend? can i go and not buy much or does that defeat the purpose?? (and if u reply, please email cuz i never think to check back here for replies!)
how much you spend probably depends on how picky (or not) you are! ;) lol
looks like fun. i'm kind of wishing we did go but it wouldn't have worked out with the girls' cousin with us today.
Whoa! Good thing I was perusing your blog this morning! I totally forgot the festival was on! Gracias :)

ok so we went today and i kind of regret it. it was way too hot, way too crowded, could barely walk anywhere and the line ups at each booth were like 30 min (or at least the 3 whole booths i made it to) maybe yesterday was less busy? oh well, the walk there & back was nice and peaceful :) and it still kept us busy all afternoon!
