My Rant

Well, Ivy had her shots yesterday, brave little girl. I think her legs really hurt today, she is very out of sorts.

So her new stats are:

weight- 20 lbs 3 3/4 oz (I can't get over how specific they are )
height- 26 1/4 inches

She gained three lbs and grew one inch in the last two months. And I tried to head off any solid food harassment by saying

"oh, thats great that she gained 3 lbs,. I am still only nursing her, so good to see she's gaining weight well and that she's great without the solids"

the nurse

"she needs the iron from meat tho, so you should be starting her on food"

Uh, ok, I'll give my 7 month old a good ol' chicken leg. Sometimes..........shaking my head.

I get tired of keeping up with the newest studies and having to argue with the medical "professionals". Argh. There was just one released a month ago about how 6 months should be the absolute minimum, but that 9-10 months now is an optimum time to start, due to all sorts of factors I won't get into.

No wonder parents get so confused. They are still using the same pamphlets from when Kade was born, even tho they have changed the standards.

Just needed to rant....
