The Muttart Conservatory

We had an impromptu kinda day today, and ended up going to the Muttart with Amanda and Ev. I hadn't been since, oh, grade 4 or so, so it was a brand new adventure for us. It was really refreshing to get out of the house and walk somewhere that you were surrounded by greenery. In the middle of this deep freeze it was the perfect thing to do. We will definitely go back, its nice and quiet, easy to see and contain the kids but they have freedom, very cool.

So some pics from today, I swear my camera hates natural lighting, it did poorly in there.

And the century plant. It blooms once in its life, anywhere from 8-25 years in, then kicks the bucket. It sends up this bloom that looks like a tree out of the middle of it. Very weird and very cool.
