Weekend Things

This weekend has been a busy one and its not done yet. Today we went over to Becky and Jeff's to try out their new Nintendo Wii (which Mike is dying to get) and celebrate Jeff's birthday as well. I am now a Wii convert, it is the most fun I have had in forever. You use the control to do so many various activities, Kade and Mike below are bowling. You actually swing the remote as if you have a ball in your hand and press a button to release it. Its SO COOL! There are tons of sports and games to play with it, too awesome.

Then on the way back ,Mike dropped Ivy and I off at home and took Kade to see the house on 97th that has the huge Christmas display. Kade loves it, he was so tired and burnt out but on the way home wanted to go sooo badly that Mike took him. We had originally told him we would go to Candy Cane Lane, luckily this was an acceptable substitute for now.

Most of you who have visited us at Christmas have seen the house, but it gets bigger and better every year. There are so many moving and singing Santa's and Snowmen, each window is a diorama, there are thousands of lights and shapes and sizes... Mike doesn't take as many pics as I do so these are it. This house is a Christmas work of art. Mike is out tonight at another party, and old friend from work invited him. (hey Tasha, he's only 3 doors down from you, make sure they behave LOL!). He wasn't going to go but I kicked him out :) and I know he will have a good time. So I baked some mincemeat tarts for him (there's another thing that only he and I eat, mmmm) surfed the net with my newly fixed computer (virus free yay) and am probably going to hit the hay.

Tomorrow I have a secret date with Cori (has to be a secret cause there are certain people that read this blog that just can't be in the know, you know). She is the Jedi master and I the lowly Padawan....

I also have to get some power shopping done tomorrow sans kids, and we are going to head to Candy Cane Lane tomorrow and walk around because its going to be nice out again.

Only two weeks till Christmas!

rofl, jedi master and padawan...you kill me!! But I approve of the sci fi nerdiness comparison, even if you don't like Firefly :P

I want a WII, and I'm not even a gamer!
