Weekend Things #2

Ok the weekend is over and we are so glad to head into the work week. (I am positive Mike just can't wait to go to work, its far easier than this weekend was!) I can't remember the last time we crammed so much into two days.

This morning I went power shopping and accomplished a lot, I put Ivy down for a nap than ran out as fast as I could LOL. After a couple successful hours, I came home and then it was Mike's turn to go out and get his haircut. Then as soon as he got home, we packed up the kids and headed our separate ways. Mike went to the museum with the kids and I went to meet Cori.

It appears there is an area at the museum I have completely missed while going with the kids. They have Lego replicas of buildings here in Edmonton and I guess they are fantastic. Kade loved them, there was a display of CNR trains made out of Lego and he stood there forever looking at them. There's the Parliament buliding, the High Level bridge complete with trolley, I have to go and check it out for myself.

So we meet at home again around 5:15 and Mike reminds me that we are supposed to go take Wyatt some of his stuff and that Wyatt needs help unloading the couch etc at his house. So we call Wyatt, ask him to order pizza cause we are starving and that we will be there pronto. I literally didn't get to take my shoes off, I had to turn right around and leave the house again. So Mike helped unload the truck while Kade looked around the house for the first time and was duly impressed, he kept saying how big it was.

So Kade sat at the table and helped Christina with her homework, and then we all chowed down on pizza.

And then because we hadn't done nearly enough today, we stopped by the lights display house AGAIN. Kade is obsessed with it and luckily (depending who you ask) we drive by it to get home. So he and I got out to walk around and Santa was there! And Kade was not the slightest bit afraid of him. He took the candy cane and went and posed for a couple pictures when I asked him to and I was SO surprised. He was so tired and we had done so much today that I thought he would have melted down for sure. It must be the mall Santa's he just doesn't like.
And then Princess Ivy helping me wrap presents. I was laughing so hard, she was walking around with a piece of wrapping paper stuck to her foot like toilet paper would, dragging behind her as she walked, I just couldn't get the camera fast enough.
We got home at about 8, threw the kids in bed and that's a wrap. This week I am hoping won't be as busy, but I know that there is scribbling on every day on my calendar...I am just avoiding looking at it....those days with double and triple scribbles are scaring me......as long as Tues I am here to look after Cooper and then go to the kids gingerbread party Thursday I am good to go. Right???
