Capital Ex

We took the kids to Capital Ex on Sunday, and even tho it was scorching hot, we had a nice time there, but boy, one day is enough. Not only money-wise, (cause it gets soo crazy expensive if you don't watch out) but its just too much in this heat.

Mike winning Ivy a prize...they can never guess his weight, so its pretty much he goes, hands them 5 bucks and picks out a toy for the kids while being hero dad LOL! He almost got busted this year tho, his shirt was tight fitting and one guy almost guessed! That would have ruined YEARS of a winning streak at that game! Next year, loose fitting shirt Mike!

So he won Ivy a Curious George and she flipped of course, because monkeys are her favorite thing lately.



Then we went on to the next one and he won Kade a toy, and Kade picked out his bear and named it Sassy. I quite like the name! Sassy the Bear.

Mike took Kade on some rides while Ivy and I waited saving seats for the Backyardigans. They were really cute and fun, I am glad we took Kade to see them. He was excited, but Ivy was thrilled, dancing to the music and bopping along.

And the reptile show...this is a huge snake if you look at what they are carrying...I felt sooo bad, it started moving towards a little boy in a stroller, and the little boy freaked out crying...aww. I would have cried too!

I feel like we have to recuperate from the weekend....isn't that crazy? Oh right, then Brandy and I headed BACK that night to see Chantal Kreviazuk, who was amazing....next time we need to go earlier and grab a seat in the beer gardens! But yah, we've had enough Ex for a couple days at least.
