Kade's First Baseball Game

Before I left work on Wednesday (for good!!) my manager gave me two tickets to the Telus suite for a CrackerCats game. So since Kade had never been to one, I decided to take him. And did we ever have fun! If you're going to watch a baseball game, it should definitely be with free food, and air-conditioned suite, and an outside area for when it gets cool. Fancy stuff.

Aaaand then one of the couples that was with us in the suite caught a ball. They were out in the FRONT of the building smoking, and a player hit one over the roof, it just came rolling over and landed by them So they brought it back for Kade, and oh my lord, was he excited!

They won the game, bottom of the ninth, bases loaded and then the batter just slugged one into the outfield, and they came ahead by ONE run to take the game! It was pretty awesome, just like you would read in a book! The girl we were with took Kade and we went to get his ball and hat signed by the players. I think she and Chris (one of the managers at work) were more excited than me lol. They were completely enamoured with Kade.
And then on the way home, at about 11 o clock, still awake with his hat and still looking at the ball with signatures on it. He went to sleep clutching his ball and his hat beside him...so adorable!
Today we are basking in the splendor of our new air-conditioner upstairs, resting up from the busy day yesterday. Brett and Mike put in the posts for the deck now if it ever cools down mike and i have work to do hauling rocks from the back. As much as I want it done, I refuse to do that in 30+ weather.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
