They had some neat crafts to make as well, this was a bat one that was pretty cute. It was nice to go and not have to think of crafty things to make, they were just laid out there with examples and away we went. They also had a bear that you colored then put the pieces together, books galore, snakeskin that the kids could really touch and see, lots of stuff in one little room.

After the groundhog/spring animal talk, which was supplemented by animals in jars (seriously, click the pic and look at the taxidermy animals in the plastic cylinders, it was kinda cool in a creepy way that the kids could, um, hold them I guess) she brought out the snake to entertain the kids further. Of course both Kade and Ivy touched it, they are fearless about snakes so far. As Mike stood far away hehehe.
So yes, can't beat the entertainment for the price, 3 hours, $5.50. Darn fine way to spend a Sunday afternoon when its cold outside.
But Ivy started getting cranky, and by 4:30 on the way home she had a fever. If its as mild as Kade, no problem, its just been a fever and a few sniffles. Here's hoping! Auntie Kandice and the whole crew are coming up Wednesday, so I guess it's better that she's sick now and over it in the next few days.
Hope everyone had a good weekend!

the nature centre is so great, and i love touching the snakes too, if i didn't have to feed it mice i'd love to get one! lol. we did a very similar bat craft at home a couple years ago!
So cool! I really ought to take my kids there, I never think about it. Ah, who am I kidding, it's too far for me to drive.
