Our Camping Staycation 2009

Since I had the weekend off work, and it was the first weekend we have had entirely together as a family, we decided to camp out in the backyard.

We did the full blown works, the tent, the chairs, campfire, camping food and stayed outside the whole day.

The kids were in seventh heaven, and had so much fun! They can't wait to do it again, and as for me, this is MY kinda camping!






The kids desperately wanted to sleep in the tent, so Mike went out there with them. They lated until 2 am when the thunderstorms rolled in, and MIKE was awake and wanting to come in! Ok, I guess the tent leaked a little, it's just not meant for hail and torrential rain. It was crazy, pouring rain mixed with hail, massively loud thunder and bright lightening, but the kids slept till Mike woke them up and brought them in.







Of course, they want to get right back there again and camp out!
