Ivy's First Day of Preschool

Ivy started her first day of preschool with Ms Joan, Kade's preschool teacher, and we had a lovely time there today. She played her heart out, loved the outside slides and climbers, and now is one tired little girl.

She was the Hoppy Helper today, and it was my day to stay, so she felt pretty comfortable there. Mostly. Until they started singing, then she was a little bit shy.

And at one point just stood up in circle time, said "I'm going to wash my hands" and went to the play kitchen. That's my girl.

Coloring her apple. The conversation at craft time with Ms Joan went like this:

Ms Joan: "Ivy, what color do you want to use on your apple? Green, yellow or red"

Ivy "Blue"

Ms Joan: " We only have out those 3 colors for craft though, so which one? Green, yellow or red?"

Ivy: "Ummmmm. Purple!"

Ms Joan *laughing* "Well, there are only green, red or yellow crayons."

Ivy "Pink!"

Ms Joan "If you shade the red really lightly, you can make a pink apple".

That's my girl. Fight the power alllll the way till you win.


And showing Dimbo for her show and tell, and talking about her trip to Disneyland to get him.



So here's hoping that she might actually stay by herself in a few classes!
